Hello, my name is Sheri and I currently live in Glennie, Michigan. Glennie is a very small town in the Northeastern part of the Lower Peninsula and is also in the middle of the Huron National Forest. While living on Saginaw Bay, we continually found ourselves near the Glennie area for kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, etc. So when we decided to move further north, we thought, why not look for a place in our ‘playground’? Thankfully, we found a small home on an inland lake and just minutes from many of our activities.
I am retired from the U. S. Coast Guard and am thoroughly enjoying living in the “boonies”. My forays into nature include photography, hiking, kayaking, biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and walking. Last summer I ‘upgraded’ to a Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic. So I am adding motorcycle riding to my ‘things to do’ list.
I have also discovered converting photographs to various mediums of art. Sometimes I see a photo and think, “Wow, that would look cool as a watercolor”. Well, now I’m able to make that happen and will be sharing some of them here. Hope you enjoy.
